That replacements are the order of the day in television is a well known fact. Like time and tide, daily shows too, wait for no one and this was recently evident when Dakssh Ajit Singh was replaced by Aamir Dalvi to play the role of Abhinav Jaiswal in Chhal. It is interesting to note that Dakssh had already shot for a few scenes for the show and was then replaced by Aamis Dalvi when he made some not-so-welcome demands.
Now that Aamir Dalvi has begun shooting for the show, questions about him not being the first choice for the role are bound to crop up. But quiz him about it and he says, “I know that these questions are bound to come up but I am not worried about it. The actor who was the first choice backed out and for some reason and the makers of the show decided to give me a chance. That is good enough for me.”
He is also assured of the fact that the audience will accept him as Abhinav. Aamir explains, “The audience has only seen me as Abhinav and not Dakssh. So there is no question of them not accepting me. I am also trying my best to do justice to the role so that people can enjoy Abhinav's character.”
That is a pretty secure and confident declaration coming from Aamir. Whether his acting skills in Chhal do justice to this confidence, we are very interested in knowing.
