The sporting world is all set for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. All the qualified sportspersons are in London, getting in the zone for the world's biggest sporting extravaganza. India too, has sent a 83-strong squad to bring in the glory for our country.

Admittedly, India's medal haul hasn't been anything to write home about, with India winning just 3 medals in the last Olympics. But still, optimists abound and Indians all over are wearing their flags proudly as they cheer their nation's sportsmen. And adding to this chorus of voices is the Colors's galaxy of stars. Just like any normal Indian would do, our Colors'beauties and hunks are putting all their weight behind our athletes.

Take Manish Raisinghani, who plays Siddhant in Sasural Simar Ka, for example. He says, “I would like to wish the entire team best of luck and my message to them is-Show the world that cricket is not the only game we Indians have mastered… we are the jack of all trades and we also are the masters of all because we are Indians. Hope our Olympics team gets us our glory at the London Olympics. Amen.”

His on screen brother, Prem, aka Shoaib Ibrahim, isn't far behind in wishing the best for our team. “We have a really strong line-up of sports persons this year. So my hopes are high. I'm particularly confident of our badminton team. Hope they prove my confidence right.”

Court games seem to be a favourite among our Colors stars as most of them seem to be confidently supporting our badminton and tennis squads. Karan Goddwani, who plays Ranveer in Chhal-Sheh aur Maat has this to say-“I wish the Indian team ll the very best and just wish and pray that they get lots of medals back home and make us all proud! My best bet this time around is Saina Nehwal, who seems to be in great form.” We too, are rooting for you Saina.

Karan's co-star Aamir Dalvi, who plays Abhinav in the show, doesn't have any favourites. All he has to offer to our sportsmen is good wishes and prayers. “I wish them all the very best. I would want them to believe in themselves before every event, race or competition,” is what he says in way of encouragement for our representatives at the Olympics. Just like Aamir Dalvi, Dushyant Wagh, who plays the affable Guru in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuchh Kaha, has nothing but encouragement to offer to the Indian contingent. He gushes, “All the very best to all of them. It feels good that such a great squad is representing our country. My good wishes are with all of them.”

I know, you must be wondering, why are only the male stars wishing our sportsmen? Are the ladies not interested in the Olympics? That's not true at all. We asked Roshini Shetty, aka, the bubbly Sajni from Kairee and this is what she wishes- “(For our contingent) To win medals so that we can hear our national anthem on a global stage and have a true sense of achievement and patriotic pride as compared to just standing and listening to our anthem in a movie hall.” Trust Roshini's wish to be as unique as her character.

So it is obvious that all our stars have just one wish. To see India proud in the global sporting arena and get a big haul of medals back home. Well, the whole of India too, is praying for the same and we wish that the Indian squad makes this wish come true soon!
