This week, the Jhalak contestants had a tough time, dealing with a second partner in the ‘Teen ka Tadka’ special and having to cater to the public demand in the 26th Episode. But next week, the contestants will get to let their hair down and have a blast as the theme for next week is ‘Hindi Masaledaar Week’!
The top contestants of Jhalak will get to show their spicy side with songs that are full of Bollywood jhatkas and matkas. The contestants have already performed on fully filmy numbers in Jhalak before, but this time will be different as theydon’t have the scope of performing to slow Bollywood tracks, having to opt for high-energy songs for their act.
And the biggest factor this week will be the entry of ace choreographer Ganesh Acharya, who will set the theme and mentor all the contestants for their masaledaar acts. Ganesh Acharya, the man behind uber sexy dance acts like ‘Chikni Chameli’, ‘Halkat Jawaani’, and even Madhuri’s ‘Badi Mushkil’ number from Lajja, will keep a keen eye on the Jhalak contestants and ensure that their acts are packed full of the foot thumping steps that are typical of his numbers.
Well, we think that this theme will be fun as well as challenging for the contestants as they have to push the limits of what’s possible in a Bollywood number. Mukti, with her incomparable expressions, will definitely bring her own brand of spice to the theme. It will be interesting to see how Lauren and Drashti perform to this theme, as both Punit and Salman are known for their brilliant concepts.
Bollywood masala songs are not exactly known for their daring lifts and flips, but we’re sure that Sonali and Sumanth will manage to incorporate their jaw-dropping style in the theme to bring out a masaledaar khichdi of dance styles. But probably the most intriguing possibility will come from Shaan, who will have to let go of his straight-laced image and follow Ganesh Acharya’s lead to score in this theme.
So what do you think, who will do the best under Ganesh Acharya’s guidance and come out on tops next weekend? Let us know in the comments section below!
