Holi is the festival of color and happiness. Bringing fun and frolic to the viewer’s home, COLORS presents its annual Holi gala, Rang De COLORS, this Holi on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 3 pm and 5 pm on COLORS. Adding in the spirit of celebration, will be the favorite COLORS artists who will make this holi special with their dazzling performances filled with entertainment quotient. With a theme – ‘tussle between boys and girls’, the show promises to give the viewers an insight into how the COLORS artist’ celebrate their holi, adding a tinge of happiness to the festivity!
Promising a fun-filled and entertaining afternoon, Rang De COLORS will see the adorable Bani (Shefali Sharma) and bubbly Rajji (Neha Bagga) performing for the first ever time with some Punjabi tadka on Katiya Karoon. The ‘Tom and Jerry’ like couple Beera (Siddarth Arora) and Navika (Jayashree Venketaramanan) will groove to some melodious Holi songs like Holi ke din dIl mil jaate hain.
With a chemistry that has people talking, Jaikishan (Jay Soni) and Bhoomi (Shamin Manan)will get in a mood for some ched chad where Jai will tease Bhoomi on the tunes of Chikni Kamar. Setting the mood of love and romance will be Simar (Deepika Samson) and Prem (Dheeraj Dhoopar) along with Anandi (Toral Rasputra) and Shiv (Siddharth Shukla). Joining them will be Meethi (Tina Dutta) and Vishnu (Mrunal Jain) who will take the center stage, mesmerizing the audiences with their romantic act.
Sharing the spirit of Holi and providing all-round entertainment, the older generation of COLORS family was equally enthusiastic and gave some dhamakedaar performances. Hasmukh Vaishnav (Rajendra Chawla) and Ramila Vaishnav (Supriya Shukla) will tickle everyone’s funny bones by grooving to Chalao na naino se baan while Jogi Thakur (Ayub Khan) will be seen donning Jeetendra’s look dancing to the tunes of Naino mein sapna along with Divya Thakur (Pragati Mehra).
And if that is not enough, be ready for some sizzling acts by Urvashi Dholakia, Deepali (Seema Mishra) of Madhubala and Aashka Goradia as they put together some fatakedaar performances on Bollywood item numbers like Fevicol Se and many more.
Apart from the performances, the boys and girls will take on some challenges in order to outwit each other. While boys will put their best foot forward, the girls will be no less and give in their best. Sumit Raghavan will lead the toli of boys while Dhrashti will lead the toil of girls. The sweet banter between boys and girls will add on to the fun and excitement.
Forgetting all inhibitions and getting into the atmosphere of celebrations, the artists will also be seen playing holi and smearing colors on each other. Living up to the theme of boys versus girls, the artists will also be seen taking on the challenges of outwitting each other added with a little masti!
